TikTok has expanded its “Add to Music app” feature to more countries, allowing users to easily save songs heard in TikTok videos to their preferred music streaming service, including Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music. Initially available in the US and UK, the feature has now been rolled out to over 160 countries worldwide.
In December, the feature was introduced to 19 new countries, such as Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. With the latest expansion, users in countries like Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, Lebanon, New Zealand, and more can now access the Add to Music feature.
According to TikTok, the Add to Music feature aims to help music enthusiasts capture songs they discover on TikTok and easily save them to enjoy later on their chosen music streaming platform. Users can simply tap the “Add Music” button while watching a TikTok video with background music to add the song to their personal music library.
The track is saved to a default playlist on the selected music streaming service, but users have the option to create new playlists or add the song to existing ones. To access the feature, users need to ensure they have the latest version of the TikTok app installed on their device.
