In Uga, Anambra, on December 28th, tragedy struck, claiming two police officer’s lives. The assailants, unidentified, left a community in grief and fear, extending violence to Amesi in Aguata LGA.

Chigbo Onuegbu (Akawo), a vigilant community member, lost his life defending neighbours. Another resident was abducted, adding to the victims of the lawlessness prevailing.

Presidential candidate Peter Gregory Obi condemned these heinous acts, expressing deep condolences. His tweets echoed a nation’s frustration at the erosion of life’s sanctity.

Obi urgently called for a decisive government and security agency response. Combatting insecurity became paramount, with emphasis on condemning every act of terror. A united front was urged against the forces threatening society’s fabric.

In adversity, Obi stood resolute, expressing solidarity with Chris Ubah, vowing relentless efforts until every Nigerian lives without fear.

As the nation mourns, Obi’s call to action resonates—a rallying cry for leaders to rise above divides and ensure every Nigerian life’s security and sanctity.
