The current governor of Rivers State, Governor Siminilayi Fubara, has presented the proposed budget for 2024 to the newly affirmed Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. The budget was presented this morning following the affirmation of Ehie Edison, who is said to be loyal to the governor as the substantive head of the state house of assembly by the High Court in Rivers state yesterday.
The budget was presented to a sitting of 5 state assembly members as the other 27 seats have been declared vacant due to the defection of the ‘former’ occupants of the seats.
The details of the budget have not been made public yet.
