The trailer for 3 Working Days, a film directed by Jerry Ossai, has officially been released, building anticipation for its premiere on October 18, 2024. The movie centres on the 2023 cash scarcity crisis in Nigeria, sparked by the government’s naira redesign policy, leaving millions of Nigerians struggling to access cash.

The story follows a father’s desperate efforts to provide for his family amid the financial chaos, showcasing themes of sacrifice and survival. Ossai, a seasoned visual effects artist with notable works such as Breath of Life, Banana Island Ghost, and A Naija Christmas, brings his directorial experience from projects like Our Best Friend’s Wedding to this compelling narrative.

The film is set to be distributed by Filmone Entertainment, further positioning it as one of the most anticipated releases this year.

Ossai’s film revisits the naira shortage, which saw long queues in banks and caused widespread financial hardship, reflecting on how it affected everyday Nigerians.
