Oboli expressed her gratitude to fans in an Instagram post, stating, “My people, We have sold N10 million on our vouchers alone and counting. This is massive! You made this happen! Because of you, so many people will get to watch THE UPRISING for free!!! Thank you, my Besties and everyone, for showering The Uprising: Wives on Strike3 film the love it deserves”.

The voucher system was introduced earlier this month, allowing moviegoers to pre-order tickets before the film’s premiere. The Uprising, a satirical drama, follows a female local government official as she navigates personal and political turmoil.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Chioma Akpotha, Uche Jombo, Ufuoma McDermott, Hilda Dokubo, May Yul-Edochie and Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (KieKie). At its core, The Uprising tells the gripping story of a widow whose world unravels after the kidnapping of her only child, exploring themes of love, betrayal, and resilience in the face of despair.
