Religion & Unity: Kashim Shettima Assures Nigerians of Tinubu's Govt Impact

Vice President Kashim Shettima was joined by Ministers of Finance Wale Edun, ICT/Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri for a Buga dance at Davos 2024.

Shettima was seen dancing to Kiss Daniel’s “Buga” on stage alongside the Ministers at the ongoing annual World Economic Forum. The short video was posted on the Arise TV website on Wednesday, 17th January.

Shettima had earlier departed Abuja on Sunday to join other political and business leaders across the world for the 54th annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, held from the 15th to the 19th of January. The week-long meeting convenes over 100 foremost political, cultural and business leaders to shape global, regional and industry agendas under the theme of Rebuilding Trust.

In a statement issued in Abuja by the Vice President’s media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima will have a discussion with the Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (ICF), Makhtar Diop and Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Chinh.

He is also expected to chair the launch of the Private Sector Action Plan for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA). “Also on the sidelines of the meeting, Mr Shettima will chair a roundtable dialogue on Nigeria’s economic path.

“He will also attend a special session dedicated to building trust in the global energy transition programme,” the statement read in parts.
