United States President Joe Biden said that only the “Lord Almighty” could convince him to quit going for a second term in the presidential election.

He said this on Friday during an interview with ABC News.

If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get out of the race.’ I’d get out of the race, he said. The Lord Almighty’s not coming down.

Biden has been facing pressure from his Democratic Party to stand aside for another candidate, a younger one, especially after his debate against Donald Trump last week, where he performed poorly.

But the POTUS has hit back at critics, saying he is the best man for the job.

I don’t think anybody’s more qualified to be president or win this race than me, Biden declared. He attributed his poor debate performance to travel tiredness and a bad cold.

During the interview with ABC News, the president sounded better than in the debate last week, although his voice was not strong enough.

However, Biden was in his energetic version during a rally in Madison, Wisconsin, the same Friday.

Addressing the supporters at the rally, he said, “Now, you probably heard we had a little debate last week. I can’t say it was my best performance. But ever since then, there’s been a lot of speculation. ‘What’s Joe going to do?’ ‘Is he going to stay in the race?’…

“Well, here’s my answer. I am running and going to win again.” The crowd cheered.

With Biden’s insistence that he will not stand aside for another candidate, the Democratic Party members, especially the campaign donors, will have to wave aside their doubts and back their man against Trump in the upcoming presidential election.
