Mo Abudu announced the milestone on Instagram on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. “Òlòtūré: The Journey” made it to the official Netflix top ten global chart based on our first week of viewership from July 1st to July 7th, 2024. Directed by Kenneth Gyang, the series follows the story of a young journalist who infiltrated the treacherous world of sex trafficking in Nigeria, risking her life to unveil the pervasive corruption entwined within. Her adventure led her on a dangerous quest towards Europe, where survival became a daily battle against ruthless forces.

Abudu expressed her excitement over the series’ global success. “It’s awesome to see Nigerian TV series getting into the global charts! We got into the Netflix Official Top Ten Global Charts with our series, ‘Blood Sisters.’ We are doing it again with ‘Oloture: The Journey,'” she said.
