Amazon Studios has unveiled the trailer for Tyler Perry’s upcoming thriller, “Divorce in the Black,” starring Meagan Good and Cory Hardrict. The film will be released on Prime Video on July 11.

“Divorce in the Black” centres around Ava, a young bank professional played by Good, who is devastated when her husband, Dallas, abandons their marriage. Determined to fight for her marriage, Ava’s resolve is tested as she discovers Dallas’ nefarious actions that have not only destroyed their marriage but also sabotaged her destiny to find true love.

The trailer highlights Ava’s struggle, featuring a poignant moment where she tells her parents, “I’ve tried everything. You have taught me since I was a little girl to be a wife. But what happens when that’s not enough?”

The cast includes Joseph Lee Anderson, Shannon Wallace, Taylor Polidore, Richard Lawson, and Debbi Morgan. Tyler Perry serves as the writer and director of the film, and he also produces alongside Meagan Good, Angi Bones, Will Areu, and Dianne Ashford.

In related news, Tyler Perry has recently announced the lineup for his next Netflix film, “Straw.” This film will feature Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson and a stellar cast, including Sherri Shepherd, Teyana Taylor, Glynn Turman, Sinbad, Rockmond Dunbar, Mike Merrill, and Ashley Versher.
