Mali Postpones Academic Year to November Amid National Disaster

The start of the 2024-2025 academic year, originally slated for Tuesday, October 1, has been officially postponed to Monday, November 4, 2024.

This announcement was made on national television by the Minister of National Education, Dr. Amadou Sy Savané, during a special broadcast on Monday, September 30.

The Minister noted that the decision was prompted by the “state of national disaster” that the country is currently facing.
