Kizz Daniel: ‘Buga’ Is Africa’s Anthem, Not Just Nigeria’s, Despite Vice President’s Recognition

427

Celebrated Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has playfully corrected Vice President Kashim Shettima’s recent claim that his hit song, ‘Buga,’ is on the verge of becoming Nigeria’s second national anthem. In a gracious response to a viral clip of the interview, Kizz Daniel expressed appreciation for Shettima’s kind words but cheekily expanded the anthem’s reach. Contrary to the national scale, the artist asserted that ‘Buga’ is, in fact, the anthem of the entire African continent.

The statement from Shettima had initially praised Kizz Daniel’s impact on the global stage, citing ‘Buga’ alongside Tekno’s contributions. However, Kizz Daniel took it a step further, humorously acknowledging the Vice President’s compliment while broadening the anthem’s significance beyond Nigeria’s borders. It’s a lighthearted yet impactful response, underlining the song’s universal appeal and the artist’s pride in representing African music on a grand scale.
