Renowned Nollywood filmmaker Jade Osiberu has revealed little details of her latest project, Half of Me. Known for groundbreaking hits like Gangs of Lagos and Brotherhood, Osiberu shared on her Instagram on October 30 about the upcoming movie.

“We shot something special. So so proud of the entire team that worked on this: the performances, cinematography, production design, directing, the story! Prepare for a feast! Super proud of Director @orobosa_ikp DP @lucas_gram01 & Line Producer @iamizuoba,” the post said.

Although few plot details have been disclosed, Half of Me is expected to star prominent actors Martha Ehinome, Nancy Isime, and Uzor Arukwe. Known for her compelling storytelling and strong characters, Osiberu’s new film is expected to elevate Nollywood’s footprint in global cinema further.

The reveal of Half of Me follows the recent announcement of Osiberu’s return to the screen with Christmas in Lagos, a romantic comedy set to premiere this December on Prime Video. Christmas in Lagos is a romantic comedy set during Lagos’ festive “Detty December” season. The film, produced under her three-year output deal with Prime Video, is set to feature prominent stars, including Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr and other notable Nigerian talents.

Jade Osiberu’s reputation in Nigerian cinema is notable, with past hits like Gangs of Lagos and Brotherhood solidifying her as an influential figure in Nollywood. Earlier this year, she was named one of the top 40 most powerful women in international film by The Hollywood Reporter, further highlighting her impact in the industry.

With Half of Me poised to join her slate of impactful films, fans and industry insiders alike await more insights into what promises to be another standout project from the acclaimed filmmaker.
