There is a growing concern around the ‘‘alleged’’ doctoring of speeches from victims.  The Governor of Plateau State has made a post on his X page to address these issues.

In a statement released on Monday, the Governor assured citizens of a comprehensive investigation into the matter, emphasizing the seriousness with which they take such allegations.

While acknowledging the gravity of these challenges, the Governor emphasized the paramount importance of unity and peace within the state. Highlighting the need to remain steadfast in fostering understanding, empathy, and cooperation among the diverse communities, the Governor urged citizens to keep their focus on the collective goal of a harmonious Plateau State.

“Our primary goal remains the pursuit of unity and peace within our beloved state,” stated the Governor, calling for dedicated attention from all citizens.

The Governor urged collective efforts to rise above distractions and work relentlessly toward creating a Plateau State where every voice is heard and every concern acknowledged.

Urging citizens to stay informed, engage in constructive dialogue, and raise awareness about the realities the state faces, the administration stressed the significance of open communication in building bridges toward a future where Plateau State thrives as a symbol of harmony and progress.

The Governor expressed gratitude for the unwavering commitment of the citizens to the values of unity and peace, promising that together, they would surmount challenges and construct a stronger, more united Plateau State for future generations.

The statement concluded with a resounding call for solidarity, inviting every individual to be an active participant in the journey toward a more harmonious and prosperous Plateau State.

This statement comes after the recent killings in the state that have claimed over 200 lives and left many injured.
