Ghana is preparing to host an international beach soccer festival that will bring together four national teams from around the world. The tournament is scheduled to take place in May at Laboma Beach in Accra and will feature Ghana, Nigeria, Germany, and England.

The event, known as the One Humanity International Beach Soccer Cup, is being organised as part of a global campaign that promotes unity, inclusion, and cultural exchange through sport.

Organisers say the tournament is meant to serve both competitive and social purposes. In addition to the matches, there will be youth clinics, community activities, and cultural events designed to bring people together and promote peace.

The competition will be played in a round robin format, allowing each team to face the others. This setup is expected to give fans a chance to see different styles of play and build excitement around beach soccer in the region.

Ghana’s coastline has long been seen as an ideal location for beach sports, and officials believe the tournament could help boost tourism and sports development. The event is also expected to give local players exposure to international competition.

Nigeria’s participation adds another layer of interest, given the country’s strong presence in African beach soccer. The team has consistently qualified for continental tournaments and is regarded as one of the leading sides on the continent.

Sports officials in Ghana see the festival as an opportunity to place the country firmly on the global beach soccer map. They hope it will become a regular event that attracts top teams from around the world.

With teams from Europe and Africa set to compete, the tournament promises to deliver a blend of talent, culture, and entertainment. For fans along the coast and beyond, it will be a rare chance to watch international beach soccer on home soil.
