1k

Flutterwave, Africa’s leading startup, appoints Nigerian architect Olajumoke Adenowo to its global board of directors, signalling its commitment to international expansion. As Flutterwave’s first independent non-executive board member, Adenowo brings over 35 years of architectural expertise, earning her the title of “Africa’s Starchitect” by CNN. Flutterwave’s CEO and Founder, Olugbenga GB Agboola, praises Adenowo’s strategic vision, emphasizing her role in advancing the company’s pan-African and global presence.

Adenowo aims to leverage her extensive experience and global perspective to support Flutterwave’s mission of connecting Africa with global markets. Leading projects at AD Consulting, she became the first African architect published by Rizzoli with her book “Neo Heritage: Defining Contemporary African Architecture.” Recognized as the 2020 Forbes Woman African Entrepreneur of the Year, Adenowo’s appointment aligns with Flutterwave’s ambitious plans, including a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the NASDAQ.

Flutterwave’s recent expansion into India and its presence in 30 African countries underscore its commitment to growth. Following executive appointments and efforts to recover lost funds, Flutterwave continues to innovate and expand its footprint across Africa and beyond.
