Ekiti State Chief Judge Adeyeye Dies From Injuries Sustained From Last Year Court Building Collapse

Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has passed away following a prolonged struggle with health issues, according to reports.

The judge’s health had been in decline since a tragic incident last year when part of the High Court building in Ekiti State collapsed on him while he was in his office, causing serious injuries.

Since his discharge from the hospital after the collapse, Justice Adeyeye has continued to battle health complications, though details surrounding his condition remained largely undisclosed.

Sources close to the family have confirmed the unfortunate loss but indicated that an official announcement is pending.

The Federation of International Female Lawyers (FIDA) in Ekiti State expressed its deep sorrow in a condolence message, honouring Justice Adeyeye’s legacy and offering heartfelt sympathy to his family, the Judiciary, and the people of Ekiti.

With deep sorrow in our hearts and in total submission to the will of God, FIDA Ekiti consoles with the family of the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, on his call to glory.
