Country music legend Dolly Parton has revealed plans to grace Broadway with a musical chronicling her remarkable life and illustrious career. Titled “Hello, I’m Dolly,” the production is slated to debut in 2026.

The musical “Hello, I’m Dolly” will serve as an ode to Parton’s unparalleled legacy, showcasing her beloved classics alongside brand-new compositions written exclusively for the production. Spearheaded by Parton herself and co-authored by Maria S. Schlatter, the musical promises an unforgettable journey through the highs and lows of the icon’s extraordinary life.

The “Jolene” singer took to Instagram and wrote,

Hello, I’m Dolly. I’ve been writing my life story as a Broadway musical for several years, and I’m proud to announce we’re finally developing “Hello, I’m Dolly – an original musical” for the Broadway stage”.

Parton’s venture into the realm of Broadway came as no surprise to devoted followers who have eagerly awaited this moment since the release of the acclaimed 2015 film, “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” which offered a glimpse into the formative years of her extraordinary journey.

“Hello, I’m Dolly” is being produced by Parton, Adam Speers for ATG Productions and Danny Nozell for CTK Enterprises.
