Disney has released the trailer for its highly-anticipated “Moana” sequel. The trailer revealed an oceanic odyssey packed with adventure, heart, and the return of beloved characters Moana and Maui, voiced by the talented Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson.

“This is a call from the ancestors to sail to new skies and reconnect our people across the ocean,” Moana said in the trailer. With her unwavering determination and the mighty Maui by her side, audiences are primed for an exhilarating new chapter in their story.

“Moana 2” was written and directed by David G. Derrick Jr. The enchanting melodies that captured hearts in the original film will again grace the screen, courtesy of the musical talents of Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina. However, fans will note the absence of Lin-Manuel Miranda in the songwriting credits for this installment.
