Bishop Allan Kiuna, the co-founder and senior pastor of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) in Nairobi, passed away on Tuesday. He had been battling multiple myeloma cancer since his diagnosis in 2018/2019 and died in a Nairobi hospital where he had been admitted after his condition worsened. A family spokesperson confirmed his death.

Bishop Kiuna’s death has reportedly left a profound impact on many. Family and friends gathered at his Runda home to mourn his passing. President William Ruto joined the nation in expressing sorrow, describing Kiuna as a dedicated Christian leader who inspired many to follow the teachings of the Lord.

To his wife, Rev. Kathy Kiuna, and family, we stand with you in this time of grief and mourning and pray that you find the courage to persevere through this trying period. May he rest in peace, Ruto said.

Bishop Allan Kiuna publicly shared his struggle with cancer in 2019 when he expressed gratitude to God for helping him endure the arduous journey.

The Jubilee Christian Church, which Kiuna founded with his wife, Rev. Kathy Kiuna, in January 1999, described him as an extraordinary man who impacted many people’s lives and had a passion for ministering the word of God worldwide.

The family has requested privacy as they mourn his passing.

It is with heartfelt condolences that today we announce our beloved Bishop Allan Kiuna has gone to be with the Lord. As a church and family, we appreciate the outpouring of love and support, especially from our church family. We kindly request some privacy as we go through this challenging time of mourning and reflection, a statement from the Jubilee Christian Church said.
