African Stars Tyla, Burna Boy, Tems, Others, Shine In 2025 iHeartRadio Music Award Nominations

Four Nigerian music heavyweights – Burna Boy, Tems, Davido, and Lojay have been nominated for the prestigious 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, highlighting their international success. Tyla leads the African nominees with three nods, including one for Best Dance Song for the Water remix with Marshmello.

Davido and Lojay received a nomination for Best R&B Song for their collaboration on Chris Brown’s Sensational. With her hit single Water, South African artist Tyla joins them in the category.

Grammy-winning Burna Boy and Tems secured spots in the World Artist of the Year category, competing against British rapper Central Cee, Tyla, and Jamaican artist YG Marley.

The ceremony will take place on Monday, March 17, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and will air on FOX. This year’s event will also spotlight efforts to support the LA wildfire.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen lead the overall nominations with 10 each, followed closely by Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, and Sabrina Carpenter with nine.
