Afrobeats singer Davido has submitted multiple entries for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, including his sixth studio album Oriade and his hit track B4 B4 featuring Fola and Mayorkun.
The submissions were disclosed by music awards platform The Grammy Guru in a post on X that gained traction on Tuesday. The entries come as the Recording Academy’s first-round voting for the 2027 Grammy Awards is scheduled to run from October 12 to October 22, 2026.
Davido submitted Oriade in four categories: Best Album Cover, Best Global Music Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical) and Album of the Year. His song B4 B4, featuring Fola and Mayorkun, was entered in the Best African Music Performance, Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories.
The singer also submitted Nakupenda, his collaboration with TxC, Zlatan, Shoday, Scotts Maphuma and Al Xapo, for consideration in the Best African Music Performance and Song of the Year categories. Another entry, Le Show, featuring French Montana and Ayra Starr, was submitted in the Best African Music Performance category, while I Know Who I Be, a collaboration with JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, was entered for Best Music Video.
The 69th Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to hold on February 7, 2027. Nominees are expected to be announced on November 16, 2026.
Davido previously received Grammy nominations at the 66th edition in 2024. His album Timeless was nominated for Best Global Music Album, while Unavailable and Feel received nominations in other categories.
Submission for consideration does not guarantee a nomination, as the final nominees will be determined through the Recording Academy’s voting process. Davido’s latest submissions mark another attempt by the Nigerian music star to earn recognition from the Recording Academy across multiple categories.
