The Malian government is continuing its policy of strengthening the education system with a major investment in school infrastructure.

According to information from the Council of Ministers, more than 7.7 billion CFA francs will be mobilised for the construction of two new excellence high schools in Mali.

The schools concerned are the Excellence High School of Ségou and the Excellence High School of Badougou Nafadji in the Koulikoro region.

The total amount of the projects exceeds 7 billion CFA francs, invested in modern and adapted infrastructure. Each project has been awarded to specialised companies with an execution period of approximately nine months.

The main objectives are to improve the quality of secondary education, create educational excellence hubs, strengthen the training of the country’s future elites, and modernise Mali’s education system in a sustainable manner.

This programme is part of a broader dynamic of education reform and the construction of a more efficient and accessible school system.
