The visit marks a significant step in deepening political, economic, and security ties between Egypt and the CSS bloc, comprising Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.

Abdelatty, delivering a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi to President Ibrahim Traoré, reaffirmed Egypt’s readiness to engage in “all forms of cooperation” with the CSS nations, emphasising a shared determination to combat regional instability.

Egypt is committed to supporting the three CSS countries in their joint fight against terrorism and we will continue to provide them with all types of assistance, Abdelatty stated, according to a press release from the office of the Burkinabe president.
