Nemsia Studios Unveil Supernatural Thriller “Ms Kanyin” Set to Premiere on Amazon Prime

A new supernatural thriller, Ms Kanyin, will hit Amazon Prime Video on June 27, 2025, promising suspense, mystery, and haunting secrets hidden within school walls. Produced by Nemsia Studios and directed by Jerry Ossai, the film leads with a chilling premise: what happens when a long-forgotten rule is broken and an ancient evil resurfaces?

The film’s trailer, released on June 24, gives audiences a first look at the danger lurking beneath the surface of what appears to be a model school. Just days earlier, a teaser clip stirred curiosity on social media, setting the tone for the eerie and mysterious world of Ms Kanyin.

Set in the mythical school of Sterling Academy, the story follows the terrifying chain of events sparked by one act of disobedience. As students begin to uncover a deadly secret buried in their institution’s past, the lines between reality and the supernatural become increasingly blurred.

The film features an impressive lineup of cast members, including Temi Otedola, Michelle Dede, Tolu George, Kanaga Jnr, Natse Jemide, Queen Damilola, Aduke Shittabey, Demola Adedoyin, Kalu Ikeagwu, Keppy Ekpenyong, Blessing Onwukwe, and Francis Onwochei.

With themes of fear, silence, and the cost of curiosity, the film contributes to a growing list of Nigerian supernatural thrillers. It reminds audiences of The Origin: Madam Koi Koi, also set in a school, released in 2023.
