Eniola Ojajuni, the Labour Party (LP) candidate for the 2024 Ondo State governorship election, has pleaded for financial assistance to secure his release from kidnappers demanding a ransom of ₦100 million.

Ojajuni, who was abducted in Abuja on February 17, 2025, appeared in a distressing video circulating on social media, where he sat on the ground while someone pointed an AK-47 rifle at him. He begged Nigerians, particularly those from the Ilaje area of Ondo State, to contribute towards his release, warning that his abductors had issued a 24-hour ultimatum and threatened to kill him if the ransom was not paid.

Nigerians, please help me! Your donation, ₦100,000, ₦50,000, or ₦1,000,000, will go a long way to save my life. My name is Prince Eniola Ojajuni. God bless you. Aderohunmu, please help me spread this video, Ojajuni pleaded.

His abduction was first announced by Abiodun Aderohunmu, National Secretary of the Afenifere Youth Council, who revealed that Ojajuni sustained a gunshot wound to his buttock during the attack.
