Mr. P Denies Sabotaging Darkoo’s Music Project, Management Calls Claims “Opportunistic”

One Management, representing Peter Okoye (popularly known as Mr P), has dismissed rising star Darkoo’s accusations of sabotage as “opportunistic and selfish.”

Darkoo recently accused Mr P, a member of the defunct P-Square duo, of attempting to sabotage her latest project, which samples P-Square’s hit song Gimme Dat. However, One Management refuted these claims in a statement signed by Ayo Oke, explaining that Mr P had only sought to ensure all P-Square stakeholders were involved in the clearance process.

The management company claimed Darkoo approached an unauthorized party for permission, leading to complications with the project. According to them, Darkoo later sought Mr. P’s help to resolve the issue, and he assisted in restoring the music video.

It is obvious she wants to capitalize on the supposed P-SQUARE feud for popularity, clout, and trend by maligning the one person who advised her on doing the right thing from the beginning, the statement read.

Contrary to Darkoo’s allegations, the company clarified that Mr. P never demanded a feature on her song remix. Instead, they alleged that Darkoo had repeatedly requested his involvement to boost her project.

The statement also revealed that modifications to the agreement included ensuring the proper entity, Square Records, was recognized and all stakeholders were involved.

The initial 50% split was requested by the individual she approached initially and was not a request from our client for himself, the open letter said.

After reaching an agreement, the music video was reinstated, but the Management criticized Darkoo for her sudden public accusations. “She didn’t ‘rant’ when the video was taken down but found her voice after it was restored,” the company said.
