The Governor-Elect of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy Elect, Dennis Idahosa, were at the presidential villa to present their certificates of return to President Bola Tinubu.
Both of them knelt with their two knees to greet the President.
Here is a video of the greeting:
Senator Adams Oshiomhole and other members of the All Progressive Congress accompanied them.
Okpebholo emerged as the winner of the Saturday governorship election with 291,667 votes, defeating candidates of the People’s Democratic Party and the Labour Party, who polled 247,655 and 22,763 votes, respectively.
