The Labour Party in Bauchi State won the highest votes in the Bogoro councillorship election held in Lusa B Ward of Bogoro Local Government despite not having a candidate.
As a result of the Labour Party not having a flag bearer, the candidate representing the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf, was declared the winner of the Lusa B Ward election.
In the results announced Saturday by the returning officer, Daniel Gambo, Labour Party, he secured 2,200 votes, while PDP’s Yusuf came second with 2,168 votes.
The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mbam Masoyi, came a distant third in the election, with 275 votes.
