The Abuja Police Command has arrested at least 31 protesters at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, the designated location for the #EndBadGovernance protests.

Protesters had earlier stayed away from the venue, but around 11 a.m., they started convening before security officers interfered. Emmanuel Bagudu of News Central reported that the protesters were previously dispersed by police using tear gas, but they regrouped. He stated that the protesters were determined as some of them were displaced individuals from insecurity-ridden areas of Northern Nigeria.

Masked officers, believed to be from the Department of State Services (DSS), had suddenly arrived in convoys and began firing indiscriminately. This forced some of the protesters into nearby bushes. The journalists around were not left out. According to News Central, the police picked up about 31 conveners from the stadium on Saturday.
