The event is scheduled to be held within the presidential palace, allowing the President to express himself directly to the people and respond to questions from journalists.

The event, announced by RTS through its website, is expected to cover many critical topics such as good governance, reduction of prices on basic needs, fighting corruption, and missions of ongoing audits.

For the said address, the state broadcaster picked these central themes pertinent to the agenda of the President and key areas of interest by the public.

Since he assumed office, President Faye has remained under public scrutiny to enable people to see the direction in which his policies and projects will take Senegal. Worthy of note are the promises of anti-corruption and improved governance, which strike a chord with the citizens.

This press conference will, therefore, remain a moment of truth for him to bring to light all that has been done and what is yet to be done to show progress through transparency.

The President’s attention to the reduction in the cost of essential commodities responds to one of the critical concerns for many Senegalese families suffering from high living costs. At the same time, his commitment to audit missions is seen as a continued effort toward accountability and transparency within the government.
