Nollywood stars Nse Ikpe-Etim, Segun Arinze, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), and Mercy Aigbe headline “Force Empire,” a new film by filmmaker and actor Ndy Akan. The movie highlights the issue of sexual assault faced by women in the male-dominated Nigerian Police Force and workplaces in general.

The story revolves around DCP Mfon, played by Nse Ikpe-Etim, who is determined to unmask the perpetrator who assaulted her protégé, ASP Halima, portrayed by rising actress Enwongoabasi Ibom. Halima’s trauma drives Mfon to expose the culprit and other corrupt officers despite resistance from superiors.

In a statement, Ndy Akan emphasised that “Force Empire” is about justice and aims to highlight exemplary officers while addressing the misconduct of a few that tarnish the force’s reputation. He reinforced the message that every officer, regardless of rank, will face the consequences of criminal behaviour.

The cast includes Tony Umez, Kunle Coker, Sonny McDon, Aniebiet Francis, and Richard Johnson. “Force Empire” will premiere in cinemas nationwide on August 23, 2024.
