Two Afghan immigrants who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint in Sweden and recorded the incident on video have been released without serving jail time.

Despite police identifying and arresting Irshad Ahmad and Elham Bahram and presenting substantial evidence against them, including DNA samples and video recordings of the assault, the Swedish justice system decided not to imprison the suspects.

The judge also denied the request to deport them after serving their sentences, which included one year of youth supervision for one of the boys and ten months of closed youth care for the other.

Both Irshad and Elham were arrested after threatening to stab the underage girl if she did not comply with their demands.

The incident occurred outdoors in the residential area of Nydala in Malmö, Sweden, in February.

Additionally, one of the boys was convicted of child pornography, offensive photography, and assault in the court case.
