Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel from Sam Ethnan Air Force Base in Oshodi, Lagos, reportedly invaded several essential power facilities in Lagos State, manhandled employees and forcibly took some of them away.

According to insiders, this action was triggered by the disconnection of power to their base due to unpaid electricity bills amounting to billions of naira.

Eyewitnesses stated that the Air Force members, whose identities remain undisclosed, attacked the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) station and the Eko Distribution Company (Disco) Mushin Business Unit, both in Isolo, as well as the Ikeja Electric Oshodi Business Unit on Okota Road.

During the attack, the substation operators at the transmission station were overpowered, while the power supply to some feeders was removed, with the personnel demanding their power supply restored.

The Ikeja Electric Oshodi Business Unit on Okota Road was also not spared; employees there were assaulted, taken to the barracks, and beaten, Arise News reported.
