In a significant gesture of goodwill and solidarity, the former Governor of Anambra State and the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, generously donated a cow to the party supporters in Bauchi State, marking the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
On the auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, the Bauchi State LP Secretary, Suleiman Kobi, expressed profound gratitude to Obi and his spokesperson, Yunusa Tanko, for their thoughtful and generous gesture of presenting a cow gift, a symbol of abundance and unity despite the challenging economic situation in Nigeria.
We thank Mr Peter Obi for the Sallah gift that reached Bauchi State on Sallah Day,” Kobi said.
While speaking to the AIT News, Kobi appreciated Mr Tanko’s encouragement and support.
As the cow was ceremoniously slaughtered, the members and supporters of LP at the event passionately reaffirmed their unwavering commitment and support to the party, a testament to their dedication and belief in its principles.
To show their unwavering loyalty and commitment, the LP supporters stated that they are better prepared for the upcoming presidential election in February 2027.
Obi posted on his official X to felicitate alongside all Muslim supporters as they celebrate Eid-al-Adha in light of the celebration.
As we gather to celebrate Eid-al-Adha, the feast of sacrifice, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you all. May this Sallah bring us all closer to Allah, one another, and our true potential as individuals and a nation,’ Obi wrote on X.
He further encouraged his supporters, stating, “Amid challenges and uncertainties, let us draw strength from our faith and the teachings of the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him).”
