Netflix has ignited anticipation once again with the announcement of the sequel series to Mo Abudu’s gripping drama, ‘Òlòtūré‘. Titled ‘Òlòtūré: The Journey’, this new instalment is slated for release on June 28th.
Òlòtūré is based on an investigative report by Premium Times’ Tobore Ovuorie. Continuing the saga that began with the 2019 film, ‘Òlòtūré: The Journey’ follows the story of a young journalist who infiltrated the treacherous world of sex trafficking in Nigeria, risking her life to unveil the pervasive corruption entwined within. Her adventure led her on a dangerous quest towards Europe, where survival became a daily battle against ruthless forces.
Renowned filmmaker Kenneth Gyang directed the series with a stellar lineup of characters. The lineup features talents such as Sharon Ooja-Egwurube, Omoni Oboli, Beverley Osu, Stan Nzé, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Daniel Etim Effiong, Amarachukwu Ono, Bukola Oladipupo, and Patrick Doyle.
Produced by EbonyLife Studios, ‘Òlòtūré: The Journey’ is the fruit of a strategic partnership between Netflix and the visionary Mo Abudu-owned studio, aimed at delivering compelling original content to a global audience.
