Usher, the R&B sensation, delivered an electrifying half-time show at Sunday’s Super Bowl, featuring a star-studded lineup including Will.i.am, Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and an unexpected accessory – roller skates. Before the performance, a playful disclaimer warned viewers of potential singing, dancing, sweating, gyrating, and even relationship issues.
Dressed in all-white and surrounded by energetic dancers, Usher started the show with his hit “Caught Up,” showcasing his dancing skills and extensive music catalogue. The performance included acrobats and a brass band spelling out “USHER” on the stadium grounds. Alicia Keys joined Usher for a duet of “My Boo,” while Jermaine Dupri and H.E.R. also made appearances.
The performance culminated in a pulsating rendition of Usher’s iconic hit “Yeah!” Despite the spectacle, some felt the numerous cameo appearances in the second half overshadowed Usher’s performance. Notably, Usher’s return to the Super Bowl coincides with the release of his latest album, “Coming Home.”
