Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, made history at the 2024 Grammy Awards with his debut performance on the prestigious stage. While his performance was ranked #6 by Billboard, it was still a stunning showcase of Afrobeats music and culture.

Burna Boy performed his hit song “Sittin’ on Top of the World” alongside Brandy and 21 Savage. The performance was praised for its infectious energy, charisma, and impressive stage production. Billboard said that Burna Boy “pulled out all the stops” and that his performance “demonstrated that is precisely where he belongs.”

Meanwhile, South African singer Tyla stole the spotlight with her triumphant win at the 2024 Grammy Awards, securing the Best African Music Performance award. Despite facing stiff competition from notable Nigerian artists like Davido, Asake, and Burna Boy, Tyla’s chart-topping track “Water” emerged victorious.

Tyla’s global success with “Water,” which ranked in the top 10 across 16 countries including the UK and the US, solidified her position as a rising star in the music industry. The prestigious accolade was presented to her during the 66th Grammy Award Premiere Ceremony in Los Angeles, USA.
