In a significant move within the music industry, singer and songwriter Joeboy has entered a new phase by joining global music giant Warner Music. Formerly associated with EMPAWA, owned by Mr Eazi, Joeboy has now unveiled his self-owned entertainment company, “Young Legend.” Music journalist Joey Akan shared the news on X, highlighting Joeboy’s dual deal with Warner Music, a label boasting artists like Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Burna Boy, and Ckay.

After five successful years with EMPAWA, Joeboy departs, having achieved remarkable milestones, including releasing two EPs, two albums, and numerous hit singles and features. His cumulative streams across digital service providers have surpassed 2 billion.

Under the newly launched Young Legend label, Joeboy assumes the role of CEO. Deola Jaiyesimi, appointed as the Head of Label, will lead the charge in propelling the next wave of Afrobeats superstars onto the global stage. Joeboy’s move follows the industry trend set by luminaries like Olamide, Don Jazzy, and his former label boss, Mr. Eazi, creating a platform to nurture emerging artists.

Joeboy expressed the dawn of a new era on his Instagram page, signifying the beginning of an exciting chapter in his musical journey.
