Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde on Tuesday received the Council of Obas and Chiefs in Oyo State for a commiseration visit with the government regarding the January 16th bomb blast in Bodija.

In the closed-door meeting, the governor expressed that the purpose of the meeting was solely based on addressing the security challenges caused by illegal miners in the state.

This is following the government update released on Sunday, addressing the health provision, recovery of victims, and investigative reports submitted to the President yesterday, on the cause of the incident.

The meeting ended with a resolution to ensure the government and community leaders work together on issues of security in the state, especially on intelligence gathering,

In the meantime, the alleged suspect, Sawane Youssouf remains at large with no further information forthcoming from the government.
