Chris Ngige: Buhari administration NOT a failure

213

The ex-Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, said that the previous administration led by former President Muhammadu Buhari, in which he served, wasn’t a failure.

Speaking during an interview with journalists on Saturday in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, while distributing palliatives, Chris Ngige highlighted various projects like the Second Niger Bridge, school feeding programs, and the Enugu Airport as evidence of the administration’s accomplishments.

He said, “It is not true that the Buhari administration was a failure. I was part of the government, and the administration completed a lot of projects including the Second Niger Bridge, school feeding program, and numerous railways across the country.

Also, admitting the fact that there are two factions of the party, APC, in Anambra State, “APC one and APC two’, the former Governor cum ex-Labour Minister stated that his faction remains the authentic APC while insisting that there was no crisis in the party.

With confident optimism, when commenting on APC’s approach to challenging the ruling APGA in the Anambra governorship race for 2025, Senator Chris Ngige stated that come 2025, APC would overtake the ruling party.

His precise words: “Don’t worry for us, this is politics and in politics, you disagree to agree. One day if you don’t agree, you bear the consequences. We didn’t agree in the 2021 election and the result was clear in Anambra State.

“I am optimistic that APC will take over in Anambra come 2025 for if you are not optimistic in life, then you go and commit suicide. So, optimism is with us. It is our watchword in APC. We have not done what we are supposed to do here but I am hopeful that between now and 2025, when the governorship election will be held in Anambra, we will have put our house in order and take over from APGA.”
