Yerin Ha has been cast as Sophie Baek, the new love interest for Benedict Bridgerton in the upcoming fourth season of Netflix-Shonda Rhimes’ hit series Bridgerton.

Netflix’s official logline for Season Four goes, “The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers being happily married, Benedict is unwilling to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”

This enigmatic figure and “Lady in Silver” turned out to be Sophie, the illegitimate daughter of an earl, who was raised under difficult circumstances by her stepmother and stepsisters.

Ha is no stranger to the screen, having previously starred in the live-action adaptation of Halo as Kwan Ha. She will also appear in the upcoming Max prequel series Dune: Prophecy, scheduled for release in November.

It is important to note that Jess Brownell, the executive story editor, writer, and supervising producer of the show, in an interview, told The Hollywood Reporter at the U.K. premiere of Bridgerton season three, part two, how Season four of Bridgerton may take up to two years before release.
