Throughout his tenure, Silva’s commitment and passion were evident in every match he played, embodying the true spirit of Chelsea Football Club.

“I came here with the intention of only staying for a year and it ended up being four years. Not just for me but for my family, too,” Silva stated.

His contributions on the pitch have been significant, with 151 appearances and nine goals, including crucial moments in the club’s triumphant campaigns.

Reflecting on his time at Chelsea, Silva remarked, “In everything I did here over the four years, I always gave my all.” Indeed, his leadership and defensive prowess were instrumental in Chelsea’s recent successes, including the coveted UEFA Champions League title and triumphs in the Super Cup and Club World Cup.

However, as Silva acknowledged, every journey has its phases. “Unfortunately, everything has a start, a middle, and an end,” he remarked, accepting the bittersweet reality of departing from a club that has become a second home.

Yet, in bidding farewell, Silva leaves the door open for a potential return in the future, albeit in a different capacity.

“I hope to leave the door open so that in the near future I can return, albeit in another role here.”

He expressed, hinting at a possible continuation of his Chelsea legacy beyond his playing days.
