Six Nigerians To Speak At Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa

Six Nigerians have been announced as speakers at the upcoming Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa in May. The summit will unfold over four days starting May 5 in Botswana, marking its third consecutive year in the country’s capital. With the theme “The Engine of Africa’s Economic Growth: Investment & Entrepreneurship,” the event boasts a diverse lineup of 27 entrepreneurs, entertainers, and leaders from across the continent, including six representatives from Nigeria.

Among the confirmed Nigerian speakers are:

• Kennedy Ekezie:

Recognised under the Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa for 2024, Ekezie is the Founder and CEO of Kippa, a payments and accounting platform serving over 500,000 small businesses in Nigeria. His entrepreneurial journey began while he was still a student, and he has since garnered global recognition for his innovative endeavours.

• Omah Lay (Stanley Omah Didia):

Renowned for his Afro-fusion sound, Omah Lay is a singer and producer whose musical lineage traces back to his grandfather, a percussionist for legendary Highlife singer Celestine Ukwu. Omah Lay continues to make waves in the music industry with major label releases and sold-out tours.

• Bola Adegbulu:

As an exited AI entrepreneur and principal investor at AI Fund, Adegbulu’s career trajectory includes engineering at General Electric, founding his ventures, and contributing to the growth of AI-driven enterprises. His achievements have earned him recognition in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list.

• Ben Amadasun:

Serving as the Director of Content for the Middle East and Africa at Netflix, Amadasun plays a pivotal role in shaping the streaming giant’s content strategy across the region. With extensive experience in business strategy and investment banking, he brings a wealth of expertise to the table.

• Peace Itimi:

A prolific writer, growth marketer, and digital expert, Itimi has led growth and digital marketing initiatives for companies across Africa and emerging markets. Her dedication to empowering entrepreneurs and sharing valuable insights has garnered widespread acclaim.

• Tia Adeola:

Founder and designer of the eponymous fashion brand Slashed by Tia, Adeola has captivated the industry with her unique aesthetic and innovative designs. From humble beginnings in her dorm room to international acclaim, Adeola’s journey exemplifies creativity and entrepreneurship.

These speakers, alongside other esteemed guests, will converge at the Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa to spotlight the continent’s burgeoning business landscape and explore avenues for growth and investment. Previous editions of the summit have featured notable Nigerian personalities, underscoring the country’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and contributions to Africa’s economic development.
