Real Madrid have again etched their name in football history by securing their 15th UEFA Champions League title.

The Spanish giants defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in a thrilling final at Wembley Stadium, extending their record as the most successful club in the competition’s history.

The deadlock was broken in the 74th minute when Dani Carvajal headed home to give Madrid the lead.

The Spaniards’ victory was sealed by Vinicius Junior, who found the net nine minutes later, ensuring a comfortable win for the La Liga champions.

Real Madrid’s journey to the final was marked by impressive performances against some of Europe’s top clubs.

They overcame defending champions Manchester City in the quarterfinals and dispatched Bayern Munich in the semifinals, showcasing their dominance and resilience throughout the tournament.

This latest triumph adds to Real Madrid’s illustrious Champions League legacy, having last won the title in 2022.

The victory also comes on the heels of their 33rd La Liga title, further cementing their status as one of the premier clubs in world football.

Borussia Dortmund, who reached the final by defeating Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals, could not replicate their 1997 success when they last lifted the trophy.

Despite a valiant effort, Dortmund’s season ends with a fifth-place finish in the Bundesliga.
