Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ Leads Oscars With 13 Nominations

Christopher Nolan stands on the verge of clinching his first-ever Oscar, as his latest film, “Oppenheimer,” leads the nominations with an impressive 13 nods. The biopic of scientist Robert Oppenheimer, known for his role in developing the atomic bomb, is a strong contender in categories like Best Film, Director, and Adapted Screenplay.

Collaborators Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, and Emily Blunt also vie for accolades. This feat marks a significant achievement in Nolan’s illustrious career. Meanwhile, Martin Scorsese has secured his 10th Best Director nomination for the true crime epic “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Notably, Lily Gladstone has becomethe first Native American actor nominated for an Oscar, reigniting a competition with Emma Stone.

Surprises include “Poor Things,” securing unexpected nods for Mark Ruffalo and Yorgos Lanthimos. The diverse lineup also features “Maestro,” Bradley Cooper’s exploration of Leonard Bernstein’s life, and “Barbie,” with eight nominations, including supporting actress for America Ferrera.
