Nicki Minaj has shattered records with her latest tour, “Pink Friday 2,” making history as the highest-grossing tour by a female rapper to date. According to Touring Data, the US-based Trinidadian hip-hop sensation achieved this milestone with a staggering $2.858 million earned at Madison Square Garden in New York on March 30, 2024.

Her tour has proven to be a massive success, grossing an impressive $34.9 million from selling 220,000 tickets in just the first 17 shows. Touring Data took to X to announce, “@NICKIMINAJ’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ officially becomes the most successful tour by a female rapper, with $34.9 million from 220,000 tickets sold in its first 17 shows.”

Remarkably, Minaj achieved this feat with only 30 per cent of the tour completed, setting expectations for a total gross of $100 million by the tour’s conclusion later this year.

Previously, Minaj expressed openness to including Nigeria on her tour after a Nigerian fan voiced disappointment over the tour’s excluding Africa from its venues. Whether she includes Nigeria or any other African country in the tour remains uncertain.
