Just In: EFCC Declares Yahaya Bello Wanted Over Alleged N80.2bn Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, wanted for offences relating to economic and financial crimes, as contained in a notice posted on the commission’s official Facebook page on Thursday.

The EFCC wants Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to N80.2 bn.

Anybody with information about his whereabouts should report immediately to the commission or the nearest police station,” the notice read.

It was reported that operatives of the anti-graft agency’s officials laid siege to the Wuse Zone 4 residence of the former Kogi governor for most of Wednesday.

However, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo came with his security operatives and whisked him away, as reported by the EFCC.
