Investigative Journalist Fisayo Soyombo has shared revelations of a luxurious hotel allegedly owned by a Nigeria Customs Service officer in a smuggling zone, raising questions regarding the source of such a customs officer.

The hotel, identified as Rollykings Hotel and Suites, situated on John Olubukola Ajani Close, off Old Badagry Expressway, Badagry, reportedly required a staggering initial investment of N500 million for its construction.

Concerns have been raised regarding the remuneration packages of Customs officers, with Soyombo expressing curiosity about the perceived ease with which such extravagant investments could be made within the service.

“Nigerians would like to know when the next Customs recruitment exercise will be. Since the Nigeria Customs Service remunerates its officers so robustly that they can build these edifices without breaking a sweat, many Nigerians would love to be your employees! he quizzed.
