Femi Otedola Mourns Loss of Herbert Wigwe

335

Femi Otedola, a prominent businessman, has shared how Herbert Wigwe, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, recently hosted him and Aliko Dangote at his new home, just two weeks before his tragic passing.

Wigwe, his wife, and son were aboard a helicopter that crashed near the Nevada border in California, along with former Nigeria Exchange Group chairman Abimbola Ogunbajo and two others. U.S. authorities indicated that rain and wintry conditions likely contributed to the crash.

Following the confirmation of Wigwe’s death, Otedola expressed his sorrow on social media, highlighting Wigwe’s brilliance in banking while expressing gratitude for their time together.

President Bola Tinubu has also mourned the loss, describing it as an overwhelming tragedy and honoured the legacy of Wigwe and other business leaders involved in the accident.
