The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun broadcasting on its radio.
According to the commission, the radio was created to strengthen voices against financial crimes in the country.
“EFCC Radio Begins Live Broadcast. To strengthen the voices against economic and financial crimes in Nigeria, the EFCC RADIO 97.3FM has kicked off live broadcast today, January 30, 2024,” it posted on X.
However, mixed reactions have trailed the launch of the radio station. Many have opined that the commission should be focused on its mandate. “Do you believe financial criminals have time to listen to your radio? I don’t think so. You should rather focus on your mandate of investigating and prosecuting financial crimes and allow the professional media houses all over the place to broadcast your success,” @UkaegbuOnwuka criticised on X.
